Callicarpa Flowering Shohin Bonsai Tree
Callicarpa Japonica is commonly known as 'beautyberry'. This tree is deciduous and fully frost hardy in the U.K. The leaves are simple and quite small. In late spring the tree has very attractive clusters of pink berries. Best of all once the tree loses it's leaves it shows clusters of metallic purple berries along the bare stems. A very interesting species to grow as bonsai and very simple to keep.
