SK Steel - A traditional high quality black carbon cutlery steel used for knives and scissors.
Yellow Steel - A highly refined black carbon hard steel with exceptional ability to hold an edge.
White Steel - A harder more rigid black carbon steel than yellow suited to knives and choppers and larger tools.
Blue Steel - Considered the very best steel for general hard working cutlery and tools. This steel is white steel with additions of chromium and tungsten. Wear resistance and hardness of Blue steel is exceptional.
Silver Steel - Semi stainless high carbon Yasuki Steel resists rust and tarnish better than other varieties.
Kaneshin tools use different methods of construction depending upon the intended end use. These include tools with hand forge welded laminated edges which means only the cutting edge is very hard steel whilst the rest of the tools is made with a less brittle steel. This creates a tool with exceptional ability to hold an edge whilst resisting the tendency of very hard steel to shatter with excess strain or impact.
