The model 49 is a powerful long handled jin and wire plier expertly crafted from exceptional SK steel. Not the most exciting tool in the box but definitely in any bonsai artists top five go to tools. A beautifully finished tool with long straight handles that make them both powerful and very comfortable in the hand. With care these lovely pliers will last a lifetime. Used for both creating deadwood jins by tearing or wire work. Particulary usefull for removing heavy twisted wire. Kevin Willson is never seen without this long handled plier. It gives superior holding power and flexibility not found in smaller versions. Never apply heavy side bending loads to pliers as they can be twisted. The maximum load should be applied parallel to the handles.

SK steel will rust if not cared for appropriately. Always give a wipe over with Camellia Oil after use. Always ensure the tools pivot is oiled prior to use, this will ensure decades of exempary performance and prevent wear.
