Acer palmatum is the classic Japanese maple for bonsai cultivation. Completely frost hardy, vigorous and very tough. The delightful and delicate leaves can create the most breathtaking display of colour in autumn. Keep the tree well watered in summer and fertilize regularly throughout the growing season. Protect from strong winds when in leaf. Best autumn colour is achieved if the tree is kept in full sun. Repot every 2-3 years using Kaizen Bonsai No2 Bonsai Soil Mix.
Imported from Japan. Graham has been developing this maple for a while but now it's time to move on and pass the baton. Super healthy and vigorous this tree is developing at an amazing rate. Now needs a little wire to help define the shape.
