Wood Fired Bonsai Pots

Wood fired bonsai pots, sometimes known as flamed pots, are created by hand and fired using a traditional wood burning kiln. This firing process results in a unique, tactile blend of colour and texture for every pot. Over an extended firing wood ash settles on the ware and melts into a beautiful infinitely variable surface texture and colour. No two pots will ever be the same as wood-firing is a volatile process governed many factors including the type of wood, ash distribution, flame turbulence, and oxygen starvation.

Kaizen Bonsai are pleased to offer a good selection of these exhibition quality stoneware bonsai pots in a beautiful selection of styles. Colours vary from a red rust to a steely purple with greys and browns. Many will have differing colours, pattern and texture across the same pot. No two of these items are the same. Our pictures are for guidance only and represent the closest we can get to showing what the average of each pot looks like. Every example in this category is unique but rest assured every bonsai pot is a beautiful example of the potter's craft.
