Yamadori Spruce LARGE Bonsai Material
The very best spruce come from high in the mountains where they spend most of their hard lives buried in snow. This tree was collected from high in the Alps where it had to endure all manner of hardships. Bearing in mind the incredibly short growing season this type of tree can be immensely old and quite possibly stretches into 1-200 years. The bark of this spruce is excellent and the trunk exhibits an amazing taper and HUGE nebari which makes this tree very special. This variety of spruce thrive in the U.K climate. We sold this beautiful spruce a few years ago and last year it came back to us, sadly in a fairly poor condition having been overworked. Thankfully the tree is now recovering very quickly and showing strong growth. A little patience and skill is going to help his tree become a beautiful bonsai in time.
