Using the latest materials technology, tungsten carbide teeth are fused to the steel backing material. The tool is then coated with a very special material that dramatically reduces loading (clogging up of the teeth) when used with soft materials like wood. The result is a dramatic performance improvement over similar products.
In use Saburrtooth wheels offer unbelievably smooth and effortless stock removal. Wood just disappears before your eyes, with virtually no pressure applied to your power tool. That leaves you free to concentrate on bringing your imagination to life. The final finish from these tools is a rough sanded texture that can then be detailed with much smaller tools in the normal way. Harder woods will give a smoother finish than very soft wood.

The 4" (100mm) Saburrtooth wheel is our largest carving / shaping tool. It will fit almost every brand of 4" angle grinder. The mounting hole is 7/8" (22mm) which is the Euro standard for angle grinders. The Saburrtooth fits to your angle grinder using the standard securing nut, just like any other abrasive wheel. In use this tool is VERY easily capable of removing a 4" stump of wood in barely a minute and is perfect for roughing out large carving projects. The wheel has a rounded edge that cuts on the side as well as the gently rounded face which allows cutting into the material and movement sideways too.
Because the swarf produced is tiny chips and dust it will not damage foliage of trees in the way that chip carving tools can. You can expect a very long life from these incredible tools!

Roughing out big carving projects can be tedious and time consuming but not with a 4" Saburrtooth shaping wheel!
