Quince (Cydonia oblonga) Is a beautiful subject for bonsai. The tree has shiny colorful leaves in summer. In early spring the tree bears small flowers prior to the emergence of its leaves. Flowers are pink fading to white. The species is fully frost hardy and thrives in the U.K outside all year round. With nice fine ramification and flaking bark this is the perfect species for shohin bonsai.
Just in from Japan, this beautiful little shohin sized quince has a great future ahead. Beautiful yellow/pink autumn colour before autumn leaf drop. An entirely unique and fascinating variety that will develop well over the coming years.
Planted in a terracotta nursery pot.
