Protector Spray is formulated from Pyrethrum - a natural insecticide derived from dried Chrysanthemums. Pyrethrum is fatal to a huge list of common garden pests including aphids, black-flies, greenflies, caterpillars and whiteflies, fruit flies, mosquitoes, spider mites and thrips, etc.

Protector is formulated using pyrethrum, a naturally-derived, professional-grade pesticide which eliminates a huge range of pests from your garden. Nature always provides the best solutions – pyrethrum is produced from the chrysanthemum plant, utilising a highly concentrated form of the flower’s natural defence system. Protector contains 0.2g per litre of incredibly potent pyrethrins, which are effective against an extremely wide spectrum of pests, yet very low-risk to humans, pets and other animals. Pyrethrins repel and kill pests by inducing toxic effects in their central nervous systems, making Protector Spray fast-acting and highly effective. Another upside of using Pyrethrum as an insecticide is that it degrades rapidly after use, leaving no harmful after-effects or chemicals, as is often the case with chemically-based alternatives.

Protector Spray is suitable for use on all plants in any kind of growing medium. Shake the bottle thoroughly, and before applying, check that the nozzle is correctly set to produce a fine mist. The top of the nozzle is marked with icons showing each spray setting so that you can adjust it easily. Spray the tops and the undersides of the leaves, avoiding flowers. Some pests, such as spider mites, lay their eggs on the undersides of leaves, so applying to both sides is essential. Apply sparingly to young or sick plants.
