St Lucie Cherry Yamadori Bonsai Tree
Latin name: Prunus mahaleb
Just perfect for cultivation as bonsai. Small bright green leaves, dense twigging, small white scented flowers and delicate fruit. The plant quickly develops a fine root system. New shoots break from anywhere on the trunk giving the chance to select branches for the future of the tree. Fully frost hardy in the U.K, treat just as you would a blackthorn or hawthorn. A superb subject for bonsai and simplicity itself to cultivate and develop as bonsai. Nice yellow autumn colour.
Graham has been sitting on this incredible tree since it arrived here from southern Italy five or six years ago. Since that time the tree was bare rooted and potted into the pot shown here. Great bark quality and a good nebari. Now well established and growing strongly. This tree has great promise in skilled hands with huge scope to make something unique and amazing. Graham has been thinning out his collection following recent acquisitions hence this amazing tree becoming available..
36" tall from the top of it's bonsai pot. 48" wide overall. 18" diameter root flare
