Japanese White Pine Bonsai Material
Japanese five needle white pine just has to be the best pine variety for bonsai. Fine dense foliage. Incredibly hardy and very forgiving as long as the soil is not allowed to remain too wet - BE SURE NOT TO OVER WATER. Keep in full sun and outside all year round. Fertilize sparingly using Green Dream Bonsai Fertiliser. If the foliage develops a yellow colour this is almost always down to excessively wet soil. Some overhead cover to avoid this can be beneficial in winter. Only re-pot in late spring once the buds begin to open.
This came from a collection we bought a while back. It's growing strongly showing powerful extension and back budding. Unlike anything we have seen before this will make a unique shohin bonsai.
