The Fuji cherry is one of the most beautiful of all the myriad varieties in this vast genus. A deciduous variety it lends itself to bonsai training. The tree has beautiful fine twigging that has a nice zig-zag form, the leaves are small and best of all the tree flowers profusely in early spring. In a good year this prunus will also make a great display of autumn colour. A pretty plant that will grow like wildfire if put in the ground for two or three years and will make a nice big trunk. Fully frost hardy this variety will do well in a bright warm spot over summer when it should be watered well. An excellent introduction to growing bonsai outdoors.
