Field Maple British Native Bonsai Tree Forest Planting
Acer campestris or field maple is a native British species well suited to Bonsai cultivation. It's a super tough tree that easily accepts the rigors of Bonsai training. The 5 lobed leaves become small once the tree begins to ramify well and the branch structure is very good, making a nice winter silhouette. The tree is fully hardy and will stand full sun to partial shade. Superb pale yellow autumn colour.
