Chinese Quince (Pseudocydonia sinensis) Is a beautiful subject for bonsai. The tree has small shiny colorful leaves in summer. In early spring the tree bears small flowers prior to the emergence of its leaves. Flowers are typically pink fading to white. The species is fully frost hardy and thrives in the U.K outside all year round. With nice fine ramification and flaking bark this is the perfect species for shohin bonsai.
