Box Leaved Honeysuckle Flowering Bonsai Tree

Lonicera pileata. Similar in appearance and habit to the more common Lonicera Nittida. The box leaved honeysuckle has slightly larger leaves with a brighter green colour. this variety flowers more readily than nittida and bears beautiful white bells on current seasons growth. The variety is frost hardy and will thrive well in an exposed position in full sun. Absolute simplicity to cultivate as bonsai. With age it will develop a nice pale colours flaky bark.

A nice little shohin bonsai with nice exposed roots. A little styling work will really define the shape of this tree nicely.
