This prostrate juniper of unidentified species was lifted from the garden of my good friend Eric after 3 years of arm twisting. This picture shows it in spring 2001 one year after collection.
The tree was to be used for a public demonstration in July of that year. Here it is post carving and half way through the demo’.
2 hours later there might be a bonsai in here…
November 2001 with a new Bryan Albright pot and following thinning of the over dense branching. This transformation was accomplished in just 8 months working in unity with the tree, it continued to grow throughout the whole process. Future development includes further refinement of the live veins and foliage masses.
