INTRODUCING THE WEASEL™...
There is a definite penchant amongst the purveyors of wood cutting bits to name their tools after various weather phenomenon. I spent some time considering what I should call these amazing little wood carving tools before I turned to the animal kingdom for inspiration. A weasel is a small but legendarily ferocious mammal with attitude. Weasel™ it is then.
The 102 is the smallest head diameter we offer on a 1/4 inch shaft. Suitable for use in larger die grinders like Makita and Bosch. A great all round Bonsai carving tool.
The heads of these tools are solid tungsten carbide that will make light work of cutting wood, marble, limestone, bronze and aluminium and keep a keen edge for ages. Should the cutting edge ever become dull it can be easily restored using a diamond faced hone.
EACH WEASEL IS AVAILABLE IN ONE OF THREE FORMATS OF CUTTING HEAD-PLEASE SPECIFY WHEN ORDERING
A. This rounded profile offers a broad cutting edge to the work and removes material fastest of the three. Good for bulk wood removal and producing external shapes.
B. Ground back to about a third of the width of profile A. this head is ideal for refined detail work and finishing. Great for creating layering and graining effects.
C. This ingenious profile features a very narrow cutting edge but with all three running on a different plane so that it will cut three parallel grooves in one pass. Perfect for Bonsai work where it applies a very convincing weathered grain effect. Not only that but it will remove wood at a quite alarming rate too if drawn across the work.
