Here we have a few individually selected young bonsai pyracantha starter trees. These are field grown and are now potted up and established ready for bonsai training to begin. We will leave the trees a little long so you can spend some time pruning and shaping as you see fit.

Pyracantha coccinea native to southeastern Europe, the Himalayas and central China. Small oval semi-evergreen leaves. Small white flowers look stunning against the dark green foliage from May to June. These are followed by dense clusters of orange berries that, birds permitting, will stay on the tree for most of the winter. Incredibly easy to cultivate as bonsai, Pyracantha will tolerate full sun right through to shade. Very hardy and perfectly capable of shrugging of the very worst of winter weather. Repot infrequently (3-5 years) in order to maintain flower performance. Re-potting should only be done (when required) in JULY. Never re-pot in spring.

In summer these little trees drink a lot of water. We highly recommend you dunk the pot in water to ensure the rootball is thoroughly soaked. Lazy watering will cause the tree to perform poorly, especially when flowering. It will also reduce fruit setting.

We have hand selected these to be very similar in size and quality to the tree in the picture but there will be some degree of variation.

These have white flowers in spring.

These bonsai are supplied in plastic bonsai style training pots as pictured.

These are approximately 9-10" Tall above their pots.
