Bonsai Woodcarving Gouge - Double Edged

This hook shaped knife is a great addition to any bonsai or wood carving tool kit. The high carbon hand forged blade is sharpened along both edges and over into the hook. That allows it to make very precise shall cuts. It it a fantastic tool for removing very small slithers of bark when cutting shari on small bonsai trees. This knife is also spectacular for removing old soft or rotten wood deep inside hollows and in awkward places. Cuts the hardest wood with ease. It's expensive but compared to traditional Japanese tools that do the same job it's cheap at twice the price.

The beautifully finished blade is retained within the oiled hardwood handle by brass rivets. Made in Sweden.
Less than half the price of Japanese equivatents.
